I've read a lot of free verse today, hence today's poems... are free verse ish.
----------------------------------------
words falling flat monotonous, robotic allowed to convey a fraction of meaning simply symbols on the screen
but resurrection! dimensions restored a little rise, a little fall and now you understand exactly what was meant from the beginning
yet something must be said for almost lifeless words (the most primitive aspect of communication) for they are masters at masking the truth
so which do you prefer: smooth blankness or textured truth?
---------------------------
what do you think it means?

i'm thinking talking through MSN (or email) and how you don't *really* know what the other person is seeing because you can't see them or hear them. you can only go by the words alone. you can say, "i'm doing well," and people will believe you because that's what you said. they may not know that you're not well at all. no idea if that's right or not, but i'd like to know what it does mean - or what its intended meaning was. maybe i just spend too much time on the computer

Well then I must spend too much time on the computer, because that is what I was thinking. The original thought came to me when I was talking to John at school, and he was laughing and generally being funny even though what he said wasn't incredibly hilarious, and I was thinking that he doesn't usually sound very amused on MSN, and then I thought well most people don't, you need lots of pictures and hints, and then... voila. Yep.
